Topsham postcards – 6 views of this iconic South West town
Compact, boaty and famous for its independent shops, eateries and quirky architecture, Topsham sits on the Exe Estuary just outside Exeter. On and off its main streets are a jumble of fascinating corners and ancient buildings, some dating back as early as the fifteenth century.
I chose to illustrate 6 of these views for a series of postcards in line and colour wash, including the corner by the parish churchyard, two of the town’s best-known pubs and the view along Ferry road, which borders the estuary. The cards are on sale as packs or individually in a number of shops, pubs and cafes in the town.
